What this check finds
A Lambda function with no invocations in 30 days is not being used. While Lambda itself is free at rest, functions provisioned with Provisioned Concurrency continue to accrue charges at ~$0.015/GB-hour. All functions should be periodically reviewed for relevance.
Passing looks like: No unused Lambda functions.
How to fix it
Delete the function if it is no longer needed: aws lambda delete-function --function-name FUNCTION_NAME. If it serves a scheduled/seasonal purpose, document that in its description.
AWS console
Lambda → Functions → select → Actions → Delete.
Compliance
This is a cost check. It flags spend that buys nothing, which no compliance framework asks about, so it is not mapped to a control.
Checked on every scan
KloudLytics runs this check each time it scans a connected AWS account, through a read-only role, and lists every affected resource with its region. On Pro and Business a fix is written for the specific resource rather than the general case above. The exact access it needs
